Istituto Comprensivo “ MARINA DI CERVETERI „
The „Marina di Cerveteri“ institute is a comprehensive institute that deals with training and education of children from 3 to 14 years old. There are three levels of school: kindergarten, primary school and secondary school.
Our Institute is located nearby the sea in a small village called Marina di Cerveteri, around 5 km from the town of Cerveteri and about 40 kilometres from Rome.
Marina di Cerveteri was born as a summer settlement where many Romans had bought the second house, in recent decades, also due to the high real estate prices, the village has seen an increase in population with a consequent demand for educational and cultural spaces that today are almost absent. Therefore, our institute is at the center of a cultural reality that does not have a true identity. Our goal is to provide our students with an opening towards Europe and neighboring countries that fosters the development of their identity.
The school has implemented ICT teaching through the different subjects, and it is equipped with a technology lab with 14 workstations and several classes are equipped with computers, traditional projectors and digital boards. The entire establishment has a wifi connection. There is one 2.0 class which works with 2.0 tools. The school is a registered as Cambridge exams center, for the certification of the English language skills. We have a library with around 5000 books: the activities are open to our students and to the families living in the area. The library is open every day during the school time and three time a week in the afternoon thanks to a group of volunteers between parents of our students and teachers.
